The Clash – Combat Rock: 40th Anniversary Edition – Green Vinyl
Release Date: 20th May 2022
The final album by The Clash’s original Strummer/Jones incarnation, originally released in 1982. It includes two massive hits: ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go?’ has the biggest, stupidest, most perfect riff this side of ‘Louie Louie’, and ‘Rock the Casbah’ pulls the band’s politics, fine-honed sarcasm, and saw-toothed guitar sound into the service of a dance-floor beat. Strummer’s lyrics also deepened on this record – Allen Ginsberg turns up on ‘Ghetto Defendant’ and it’s clear on some of the other tracks (‘Car Jamming’, ‘Straight to Hell’) that he was an influence on Strummer’s songwriting.
Marvin Gaye – What’s Going On: 50th Anniversary Edition – 2LP
Release Date: 20th May 2022
To this day, What’s Going On is hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time, earning the number one spot on Rolling Stone magazine’s 2020 list of “The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time.” Now comes What’s Going On: Deluxe Edition / 50th Anniversary. This includes the original album, plus 12 bonus tracks featuring each of the LP’s original mono single versions and their B-sides, two of which are different takes – “God Is Love” and “Sad Tomorrows,” an earlier version of “Flying High (in the Friendly Sky)” – while the pre-album single version of “What’s Going On” has no “party” intro and a false fade.

Packaged in original sleeve with obi and certificate of authenticity, this black vinyl version is engineered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios with a half-speed mastering technique which produces a superior vinyl cut.
Arthur Russell – Calling Out of Context – 2LP
Release Date: 13th May 2022
The now classic album that started the renaissance, on double vinyl with four page insert. 30 years have passed since Arthur Russell left us, in relative obscurity, from AIDS complications in 1992. Yet his work—as composer, songwriter and dance music innovator—is better known now than ever before. Since Audika Records and Arthur’s partner Tom Lee began excavating and curating Arthur’s vast archive beginning in 2003, critics worldwide have hailed Russell as a visionary. Countless younger artists cite him as an influence. There has been an internationally acclaimed documentary film (Matt Wolf’s Wild Combination) and biography (Tim Lawrence’s Hold onto Your Dreams), a critical study (Matt Marble’s Buddhist Bubblegum) along with various tribute albums, concerts and events. In 2016 Arthur Russell’s archive was acquired by The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center as part of their American Music Collection.
