a new month of new albums

the strokes – reality awaits

release: 24th july 2026
available on fopp exclusive metallic gold vinyl / vinyl / cd

Give the devil his due: twenty-five years into a career built on cool detachment, New York’s premier style-mongers have finally returned. On Reality Awaits, Julian Casablancas deploys his signature vocoder stylings not to hide, but to anchor sharp, witty broadsides against modern overstimulation – fueling a record that guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. is already crowning as the band’s finest work to date. Driven by the relentless groove of lead single Going Shopping and framed by the striking cover art of Richard Prince’s 1989 painting Untitled (Cowboy), the wait is officially over: indie-rock royalty is back, and they’ve never sounded more vital.

madonna – confessions II

release: 3rd july 2026
available on translucent pink double vinyl / baby pink vinyl / red vinyl / premium deluxe cd / softpak cd / cd

Madonna has always used the dance floor as her ultimate confessional, but Confessions II transforms the club into a sacred ritual of healing and release. Born out of creative frustration when her biopic stalled in limbo, this brilliant spiritual sequel reunites the Pop Icon with legendary producer Stuart Price to fuse deep house grooves with nostalgic electronic beats. Yet beneath the shimmering, high-energy production lies a profoundly personal journey through grief and family trauma; the track Fragile serves as a heartbreaking tribute to her late brother, Christopher Ciccone. Whether mending family ties through a collaborative track with her daughter Lourdes or inviting Sabrina Carpenter along for a massive pop-crossover moment, the record beautifully bridges Madonna’s legacy with the present. Straddling the line between heartbreak and euphoria, this triumphant return proves that Madonna is still unmatched when it comes to turning vulnerability into pure club gold.

the rolling stones – foreign tongues

release: 10th july 2026
available on yellow double vinyl + blu-ray / fopp exclusive baby blue double vinyl / double vinyl / cd + blu-ray / cd

The Rolling Stones strike back with Foreign Tongues, an incredibly vibrant 14 track album landing less than three years after their universally acclaimed, Grammy-winning triumph, Hackney Diamonds. Propelled by the infectious, upbeat energy of its lead single In The Stars, the record was captured in a swift, one month burst at London’s Metropolis Studios, reuniting Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood with producer Andrew Watt. The result is a dynamic, forward looking album that honours the band’s signature grit. Alongside the core trio, the tracks feature standout performances from long time collaborators Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford, and Steve Jordan. In a poignant touch, the album includes a final, archival appearance from the late Charlie Watts, recorded before his passing in 2021. This legendary foundation is elevated by an extraordinary lineup of guest icons, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

charli xcx – music, fashion, film

release: 10th july 2026
available on fopp exclusive black ice glitter vinyl / vinyl / cd

Just when you thought you had her figured out, Charli XCX burns down the club to build a completely new creative empire. Her seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, is a hyper-focused, 30 minute manifesto that completely rewrites her sonic DNA. Ditching the chaotic, sweat-soaked synths of the Brat era, Charli pivots toward a louder, guitar-heavy universe where rock energy meets avant-garde art-pop. Spanning 11 tightly engineered tracks engineered alongside trusted architects A.G. Cook and Finn Keane, the record is anchored by the high-concept singles Rock Music and SS26. It’s a multi-sensory era that thrives on total artistic world building, perfectly immortalized by an iconic Aidan Zamiri shot cover featuring three masters of their respective crafts: velvet-underground pioneer John Cale, fashion titan Marc Jacobs, and cinematic legend Martin Scorsese. More than just a sonic shift, Music, Fashion, Film is the ultimate synthesis of Charli’s expanding cultural footprint.

jack white – frozen charlotte

release: 10th july 2026
available on vinyl / cd

Frozen Charlotte, the seventh studio album from Jack White, captures the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer at his absolute peak, backed by a powerhouse band whose collective hand is scorching hot. Fresh off a tour of universally acclaimed, sweat-soaked performances, Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass, and Bobby Emmett on keys refused to rest on a job well done. Instead, they rode that lightning straight into White’s own Third Man Studio in Nashville to capture that raw stage energy on tape. The result is a record that carries on the raucous and frenetic momentum of his lauded 2024 masterpiece, No Name. Frozen Charlotte is a sonic blitz that feels instantly vital – fitting right at home with long time devotees while leaving the door wide open for newcomers ready to get hooked.

nia archives – emotional junglist

release: 17th july 2026
available on black & white marble vinyl / vinyl / cd

Nia Archives returns with Emotional Junglist, an album about love – but not just the shimmering romantic parts. Written throughout 2025, a year that saw Nia fall in, and horrifically back out of, love, each track encompasses something of that chaotic experience. Marking her biggest sonic leap to date, her alt-jungle sound was honed alongside James Ford, Ethan P. Flynn, and Julia Michaels. The project sees her flirt with everything from dewy-eyed indie pop and nineties electronica, all underscored by the syncopated beats and thudding basslines of her jungle roots, with a stellar tracklist that features guest appearances from Jorja Smith and Sampha. The central motif for the album is a shell: tough on the outside, but through pressure, maturation, and resilience, something precious is built within. Nodding to the female form, the spiral chamber also beautifully symbolizes growth and self-development.

gracie abrams – daughter from hell

release: 17th july 2026
available on fopp exclusive alt. album art double red vinyl / alt. album art cd / double vinyl / cd

Daughter from Hell, the third studio album from singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, catches the artist at a raw and deeply introspective crossroads. Co-written and produced alongside long-time collaborator Aaron Dessner, the Interscope Records release serves as a vulnerable, emotionally charged excavation of her early twenties – navigating the jarring transition into adulthood while loudly reconciling with her own wild childhood. The record’s title is a self-given moniker, a nod to Abrams’ reputation as a self-described “tornado child” who routinely wreaked havoc at home (a turbulent history that even prompted her to text her mother an apology during the writing process). Far from a simple trip down memory lane, the 16 track project serves as a sonic synopsis of existential twenties anxiety, capturing the friction of having one foot stuck in post-adolescence and the other stepping into an uncertain future.

tricky – Different When It’s Silent

release: 17th july 2026
available on vinyl / cd

Marking his 15th studio album and his first full-length solo release under his own name in six years, Different When It’s Silent finds the legendary trip-hop pioneer operating at the absolute peak of his nocturnal powers. It is a direct, razor-focused record that strip-mines away the noise to reconnect with the distinctive, shadowy sonic language that has defined Tricky’s boundary-pushing career.

yard act – you’re gonna need a little music

release: 17th july 2026
available on red & black marble vinyl / vinyl / cd

Marking a major creative turning point for the Leeds indie-rock outfit, You’re Gonna Need A Little Music arrives via Island Records as Yard Act’s third studio album. The LP pivots to a far more dynamic, heavily collaborative sonic landscape. Lyrically, the record dives headfirst into dark, deeply cynical territory, training its lens on the suffocating grip of modern individualism and the fragmentation of our shared realities. What truly sets this project apart is its raw, visceral delivery. Frontman James Smith has described their first two albums as “laptop records,” but You’re Gonna Need A Little Music marks the first time the four-piece wrote and tracked the material entirely live together in the same room. Captured across a unique geographical split between their hometown of Leeds and Glendale, Los Angeles, the album was steered by heavyweight producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen, famous for his genre-defining work with Beck, St. Vincent, and Nine Inch Nails. The result is a gritty, hyper-focused evolution that captures a band operating completely in sync.

shania twain – little miss twain

release: 24th july 2026
available on fopp exclusive red vinyl / fopp exclusive cd / vinyl / cd

Little Miss Twain, the upcoming album from country-pop icon Shania Twain, pulls back the curtain to reveal the raw, unpolished story of the artist before the world knew her name. Named after the exact phrase used to introduce her on stage as a child performer grinding out gigs in bars and clubs, the record traces her journey from an eight year old songwriter in Northern Ontario straight to the moment she secured her first major recording contract. This is a fierce, deeply personal exploration of “the Shania nobody knows yet.” Stepping away from strictly polished modern pop, the album leans heavily into the rugged rock, R&B, and bluegrass she grew up on, all while keeping her signature western twang front and center.
