blood for dracula

 

Andy Warhol protégé Paul Morrissey writes and directs this stylised cult adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic tale. Count Dracula (Udo Kier) needs to consume the blood of virgins to remain alive and so he travels to Italy in search of pure women. He meets the debt-ridden Marchese di Fiore (Vittorio De Sica) who is willing to marry one of his four daughters to the Count to prevent his estate from falling into decline. However, their servant Mario (Joe Dallesandro) is immediately suspicious of Dracula and is determined to thwart his evil schemes. The cast also includes Milena Vukotic, Si lvia Dionisio and Arno Jürging.

Japanese sci-fi horror.
