Set against the oppressive backdrop of 1932 Mississippi, Sinners follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack Moore as they return home to open a juke joint – a defiant act of joy and resistance in the shadow of segregation. What begins as a heartfelt ode to community and the redemptive power of blues music soon gives way to something far darker, as a mysterious outsider brings with him a creeping sense of dread.
