HIGH CRIME, directed by ENZO G. CASTELLARI (Kill Them All and Come Back Alone, The Inglorious Bastards), now available on DVD & Blu-ray in the UK for the first time. Vice-Commissioner Belli (Franco Nero) is investigating a series of crimes committed by a drug-running gang in Genoa. Mardi Gras Massacre

Release Date: 27th June 2022

With only five films, New Orleans-based writer/producer/director Jack Weis became one of the most enigmatic figures in ‘70s exploitation. And for his final trashterpiece, Weis delivered a filth-fueled, disco-drenched and gore-soaked epic of butchered hookers, hard-boiled homicide cops and a prissy psycho with an Aztec sacrifice fetish that remains a once-in-a-lifetime sleaze experience. Curt Dawson (BLOOD BATH), Ronald Tanet (CRYPT OF DARK SECRETS) and February ’75 Playboy Playmate Laura Misch star in this “shocking-yet-hysterical fever dream of regional filmmaking” (Bleeding Skull) with a soundtrack by Dennis Coffey & Mike Theodore (BLACK BELT JONES) and previously banned in the UK as one of the original DPP 39 Video Nasties, now featuring a 2K master compiled from the best surviving post-Katrina elements and a revealing new interview with Weis himself.

The Seventh Curse

Starring Chow Yun-fat (Hard Bolied, The Killer, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) The Seventh Curse is a curious entry from Golden Harvest, the legendary production company which had previously bought us the stone cold Bruce Lee classics, Way of the Dragon, Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon. When Dr Yuen (Chin Siu-ho) attempts to rescue a girl about to be sacrificed by the Worm Tribe in the middle of a Thailand jungle, he is damned with seven ‘Blood Curses’. Though he finds a temporary antidote this will only last a year and he must return to the jungle to find a permanent cure.

Demonia

Release Date: 6th June 2022

Like many of his contemporaries, Godfather of Gore Lucio Fulci (City of the Living Dead, Don’t Torture a Duckling) found his career on a downturn at the end of the 1980s as the bottom fell out of the Italian horror movie market. While much of his latter-day output went straight to video, these low-budget productions nonetheless offer up some diamonds in the rough, among them his 1990 tale of rampaging Satanic Sisters – Demonia, regarded by many as his last great film. Originally destined for a theatrical release, Demonia is a return to the atmosphere and gory excesses of Fulci’s late 70s/early 80s output – a no-holds-barred Satanic shocker co-starring Lino Salemme (Demons) and Al Cliver (Zombie Flesh Eaters) and co-written by Piero Regnoli (Burial Ground) – presented here in a pristine restoration and accompanied, in this exclusive limited edition, by the feature-length documentary Fulci Talks, assembled from an in-depth archival interview with the man himself!
